The history of Deeper Life Bible Church worldwide is very much the personal story of Dr W.F. Kumuyi, the founder and General Suprintendent of the Church. Under Senior Pastor Kumuyi, DLBC became the 3rd largest single congregation in the world. Dr Kumuyi is a gifted man, clear-thinking and humble. He is a dedicated Christian and deserves the title _the man of God.' Since he was a young man, Dr Kumuyi has devoted his time to reading and studying the Bible. He knows the Scriptures inside out and he judiciously apply them to every area of his listeners' life. This refreshing angle to presenting the gospel draws people to the church and to Pastor Kumuyi wherever he preaches. The messages are clear, simple, direct and practical. In the church, street traders who can barely read sit next to university professors, all equally captivated by the way Scripture becomes suddenly relevant to them.
Pastor Akin J. Adeniyi oversees the Central USA Region2 comprising of Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan. He also doubles as Pastor of the St Paul, Minnesota District church. "I am greatly privileged to serve under this great man of God. Under his leadership, I have experienced tremendous growth and spiritual stability", says Pastor Adeniyi.
