Israel Memorial A.M.E. Church is a connectional congregation in the African Methodist Episcopal Church denomination - the oldest black church in the United States with churches all around the world. We continue to serve the Lord as a liberating and reconciling people. Israel Memorial A.M.E. Church has been a part of the Newark community since 1893. We believe in the Triune God, with Jesus Christ as Savior, Lord and Head of the Church. Our worship is relevant and effectual in order to help all present go forth to serve this present age our calling to fulfill. We are handicap accessible and invite all to worship the Lord Jesus Christ with us!
