Founded originally as Calvary Baptist Church, Landmark has been a pillar in the community in Hazel Park, Michigan. From Sunday worship services to distributing food to those in need to special events designed to enrich this community and edify the body of Christ, Landmark is here to help. We invite you to come, enjoy a cup of coffee in our library on Sunday before service and get to know us. More than ever, we need the fellowship of believers and those seeking to learn more about God's plan for the world, and God's plan for each of us individually. Mission:
At Landmark Community Church, our mission field is Southeast Michigan. In days past, when our Christian culture permeated the Midwest, we often thought to send missionaries to far away lands to win souls for Christ. Today, the atmosphere has changed considerably. The culture of our times has faded into one our forebears would scarcely recognize and those who bear the name of Christ are fewer and farther between. It is our heart to bring that name back to this corner of the world and provide a place of fellowship, growth and encouragement for those who have already answered His call.
At Landmark, we aren't looking for perfect people. In this fallen world it is only we sinners who are in need of salvation. Maybe you haven't yet answered His call, but you're looking for a church to call home as you learn more about who He is and how He changes so many lives. We're not perfect either and we'd love to have you as part of our fellowship.
Vision:
Our vision at Landmark is to become a hub in Southeast Michigan for churches to come togetherband learn from one another. We have the facilities and the space to hold everything from multi-church baptisms to weekend conferences and retreats. Most small churches don't have the resources to put together large scale events, but if we work together and pool our resources, much can be accomplished for the Kingdom of God. Purpose:
Our mission field is the community that surrounds us at the intersection of I-696 and I-75. Jesus said to go unto the earth and make disciples of all men. And we believe that starts at home. God has given us a heart for the people of this area and we want nothing more than to see Him pour out His Spirit on this community.
