Additional Information About Our Church
|
The Villa Chapel is a non-denominational evangelical church located in the lower level of the historic Gustav Oberlander mansion. This mansion is now known as the Villa St Elizabeth, a personal care home at 1201 Museum Road, Reading, PA 19611. Jean Bready, the present owner, had long dreamed of having a church in the beautiful sanctuary that had been created when the property was owned by the Catholic Church. For many years ministers or laymen from various congregations have held Sunday services for the residents, albeit informally and erratically. Pastor Rich Colvin and his wife, Denise accepted the call to follow God's leading tp begin this new church fellowship. January 1, 2006 was the Villa Chapel's first service.
