Brooklyn Community Church is a family of believers and followers of the Lord Jesus Christ, incorporated in Kings County of the State of New York in September 2010. Our first worship service was held on Friday, October 1, 2010, under the leadership of our Founder and Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Fred Lucas. Rev. Maurice Douglas serves as Pastor for Outreach Ministries, and Rev. Pamela Stanley is Pastor for Church Administration.
Organizationally, we are an independent, community church affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA - Metro New York. Headquartered in the dynamic Ft. Greene/Downtown Brooklyn section of NYC's largest borough, our mission is to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ through the spiritual, intellectual, cultural and social empowerment of individuals, families and communities. On a daily basis, we seek to accomplish this through personal witness and dynamic Holy Spirit-led, Bible-based, out-of-the-box, community-focused, contemporary preaching, teaching and ministries of love and compassion.
