Additional Info About Our Church

In April 2006, Destiny World Church Atlanta was birth under the leadership of Wilbur T Purvis III, Senior Pastor of Destiny World Church. Pastor Purvis vision was to offer a creative and innovative one-hour worship service every Sunday that was designed to address the needs of the growing population of Metro Atlanta. In August of 2009, Pastor Purvis appointed Pastor James Freeman as Lead Pastor to provide direction and fulfil the vision for DWC Atlanta.

Destiny World Church Atlanta has expanded from the original 12 members to close to 100 and is steadily growing. We are a young church; the average age of our members being 35. We are a family centered church and offer a fun environment for youth education for all ages through our R.O.C.K and DESTINY'S KIDS ministries. We also encourage local college students to attend and provide transportation to and from the Georgia State University campus. Under Pastor James leadership, Destiny World Church Atlanta is not only impacting the lives of adults, but also meeting the needs of students of all ages and backgrounds.

We all encounter challenges in our lives and in our spiritual walks. No matter the challenge, personal, financial, professional or spiritual, we understand that through Christ all things are possible. Through fellowship with a family of believers we encourage and strengthen one another, pray for one another, and teach the importance of community.

You may not be exactly where you want to be in life. Rest assured you are exactly where you are supposed to be, for life is a journey and not a destination.
