We exist to help people know God, as they grow to know God they will find freedom, in that freedom we believe they will discover their purpose and then we empower them to make a difference.

As a community of believers our mission is to live and give the message of Jesus Christ to DeKalb County Illinois. We are a conduit of healing and freedom that is found only in Jesus. We love extravagantly, inspire hope, and walk in joy.

We strive to be a church that lives out the teachings of Jesus. We want to see our community changed as we follow Jesus' example of loving, healing, and walking in freedom from our hurts, habits and hangups. At city.light church we make an effort to be like the church from the books of Acts, to see our city changed.
Purpose:
Love God with all of our being and love our neighbor as ourselves bringing the Light of Jesus into the world.
