Serenity Church of Longview is a non-denominational ministry that aims to help the addicted in our community and their families who want to understand and help their loved ones. Whether you are in recovery, or just looking for a place to be real around real people, we're here! Our goal is to help all find forgiveness, healing, acceptance, fellowship, lifelong friendships and authenticity from ordinary people. We all have been broken and hurting people who struggle day to day with everyday issues. Serenity offers love, support and encouragement to all who have or want a relationship with God. Our desire is to help everyone in need find peace, contentment and happiness through a life lived following and serving Jesus Christ! No masks needed, we are ordinary people in casual dress with loving concern and TOTAL acceptance! Believe it or not we're just like you! Welcome Home, Welcome to Serenity!
Mission:
Serenity Church seeks to connect broken, hurting people with a loving and grace-giving God in an effort to bring recovery, peace and healing from addictive and destructive behaviors. This is done by combining the best aspects of church worship with the 12 steps of recovery as they relate to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that through the cross-pollination of theology and secular recovery techniques, great success can be achieved.
Purpose:
1) Serenity Church of Longview, Texas is founded for the purpose of establishing and maintaining a place for the worship of the one true God and to provide Christian fellowship for those of like faith, irrespective of social position or worldly possessions. 2) One purpose is to establish a Christian, recovery church and with missionary, literature, educational and all other departments it may deem useful to propagate and practice the full Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and for its service to the addicted and general community. 3) We earnestly seek and promote the unity of God's people in the Scriptural manner of Godly love, respect and faithful voluntary cooperation with liberty. 4) Recognizing that not all who attend Serenity Church of Longview, Texas are born again believers, our goal is to evangelize and teach the non- believers. It is our hope that all who attend will come to a saving knowledge of the grace of God through our Savior Jesus Christ, and embrace the word of God as their standard for faith and practice.
